The EC311P Independent Electrical Drop Wire/Rod Securing Clip, part of the CADDY® line from ERICO®, offers an easy and effective solution to help prevent the swaying of drop wires, which are used to support electrical components on main structures. The plastic clip features a bright yellow color for easy identification by electrical contractors and a plenum-rated design, which can be quickly installed without the use of tools. The convenient, easy-release design of the EC311P helps prevent damage to the ceiling or electricals in the event of a fire. A slotted attachment point allows for movement and keeps ceilings level. The clip provides significant cost and time savings for contractors when compared to alternative methods, such as painting or tagging. The forgiving design also eliminates the need for exact cutting of rod or wire. The EC311P complies with NEC Article 300.11, which requires that all independent support wires located in a suspended ceiling be easily distinguishable by color. The EC311 in metal is still available for securing rod.
